Raquel Pedrosa

Degree in Medicine and postgraduate degree in Clinical Communication Skills. Assistant Professor at the Medical Psychology Unit of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences and Mental Health at Universidade do Porto, collaborating in undergraduate and postgraduate education since 2009.

Raquel completed her internship and specific training in Psychiatry at the Hospital and University Center of São João (CHUSJ), and in 2013 obtained a specialist degree in Psychiatry. She maintains clinical activity at CHUSJ, part of the Community Psychiatry Unit, dedicated to the treatment of serious mental disorders. Raquel developed and implemented the Intervention Program in Borderline Personality Disorders at CHUSJ. In this context, she performed the following training: Mentalization-Based Treatment: Basic Training, Anna Freud Centre; Workshop on Interpersonal Metacognitive Therapy in Personality Disorders; Basics and Principles of DBT-PTSD – an evidence based treatment for complex PTSD after childhood sexual abuse workshop. British Isles DBT Training. Trained as Psychodrama Director by the Portuguese Society of Psychodrama, with experience in directing groups since 2010. Since 2019 responsible for the Psychodrama office of the Psychiatry Service of CHUSJ.
